If you frequently find yourself in need of managing several of your Google accounts, it is extremely helpful to already be signed into them on your mobile device or desktop. In order to add an account, sign into your Google account through your computer. Find your profile picture or initial on the top right of your screen and click on it. From there you will see the option to add another account. Click on that button and sign into the additional account you would like to add.Â
Once you have added your additional account or accounts, you may be curious as to how you are to switch between these accounts. If you are on a computer, find your profile picture or initial on the top right of your screen once more and click on it. The menu that drops down should provide a list of accounts you are signed into. From there, all you need to do to switch accounts is select the account you would want to use. If you are trying to switch accounts from an Android, iPhone or iPad, this process may be a bit more difficult. In order to sign-out and remove your account from the sign-in page, you must select ‘sign out’ on the menu that appears when you click on your profile picture or initial. If you want to sign out of all your accounts, select the ‘sign out of all accounts’ option. To remove your account from the sign-in page all together, visit myaccount.google.com and after signing out of your account or all your accounts, select ‘Remove an account’. From there you will be able to click on the x to remove the specific account you want to remove from your sign in page.
While being signed into multiple accounts can be extremely useful, there are some things you want to keep in mind. Note that each account has its own settings and changing the settings while signed into one account will not change the settings of the other accounts you are signed into. In some cases Google might have set a default account, yet note this is usually the account you have signed in with first on your computer. However, the default account on your mobile device may be different depending on your operating system and what app you are using.Â
